The Franklin Grand Isle Restorative Justice Center (FGIRJC) and Starling Collaborative are working together to consider offering a monthly support group in Saint Albans for white parents who are raising children of color. Over the years, there has been a need for white parents and guardians raising children of color to come together, ask questions, support each other, and learn together about the particular challenges you face.
The group would be led by Margaret Bass, who has a lifetime of understanding the impacts of racism as well as extensive experience supporting students and adults who have been impacted by racial harm. The groups would be held sometimes in person at the FGIRJC and sometimes online. In order to see how many people are interested and to figure out when would work best, we’d love to have interested parents fill out this quick survey. Once we know who’s interested and when would work best to meet, we will be in touch to set up the first meeting. Please feel free to share this survey with others who may be interested.
